Jennifer Tilly was born at Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were deplorable. Her father was a car salesman and her mother was a school teacher. Jennifer was the second child of four, frequently went to theater shows with her mother. She was delighted. Jennifer's father and mother separated at age five. Jennifer spent most of her young life in British Columbia after her mom relocated there with four other children. Jennifer did not consider herself a artist however, she was a talented artist as a kid. The time she spent in Canadian schools caused her to be often the target of bullying. In high school her passion for theater began to wane. To combat this, her mom helped her to be an extra in a variety of productions. All of her children were encouraged by their mom to follow their passion of art. After that, she immediately began acting.
